Job Summary

This role is a central point of contact for customers, ensuring technical issues and concerns regarding high-tech film scanners and digitalization solutions are handled competently and reliably. Day-to-day tasks involve managing complex technical inquiries via phone, email, and remote access, performing worldwide on-site service, installations, and training for DFT hardware and software systems. The engineer will analyze customer-specific problems, develop appropriate solutions, and document all interactions in a tracking system. Key requirements include professional experience in video/audio technology, technical knowledge in electronics or mechatronics engineering, proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu) and Microsoft systems, and strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software components. This position offers a highly specialized technical environment, direct influence on product decisions, and the opportunity to support major global clients like Warner Brothers and the Library of Congress.

Required Skills

Education

Education as an Electronics or Mechatronics Engineer or comparable technical knowledge

Experience

  • Several years of experience in professional video and audio technology (ideally)
  • Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting, analysis, and testing of hardware and software components
  • Readiness for worldwide on-site service and installations
  • Readiness for on-call duties within a 24/7 support schedule
