Job Summary

This role seeks an engaged IT professional to join the central IT team supporting a group of North German building material traders, managing a data center that serves approximately 620 users. The specialist will primarily focus on IT security, acting as the expert for Sophos products, including the XGS Firewall and Sophos Central Cybersecurity solutions. Daily responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation and continued development of the central IT infrastructure based on Microsoft systems, installing and maintaining applications within the data center, and providing technical readiness. A key part of the job involves independently processing support tickets, performing error diagnostics, resolving technical faults, and contributing to various IT projects. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant IT qualification and strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems and server virtualization, demonstrating a proactive, goal-oriented, and collaborative approach to system administration.
