Job Summary

The Center for Education and Opportunities (Zentrum für Bildung und Chancen gGmbH) is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to advance their digital platform, the 'Online-ABC Diagnosis Center,' which supports schools and municipalities in assessing learning progress and managing data-driven educational processes. This role is critical for the technical expansion of the platform, involving the design, programming, and maintenance of web-based diagnostic instruments using technologies like PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript (including jQuery/Ajax). The developer will handle third-level support, quality assurance, technical documentation, and coordinate closely with scientific advisors and project teams. Key requirements include a degree or training in Computer Science, excellent German language skills (C1 minimum), and strong practical experience with the specified tech stack and Linux server environments. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree or training in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent field

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of interactive web-based tools, ideally including form or survey systems
  • Experience with Linux servers (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu) and web server configuration
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Composer, SSH, and Cron
  • Experience in agile project management (OKR, Scrum) (Desirable)
  • Experience in the handling and evaluation of quantitative datasets (Desirable)
  • Experience in gradually modernizing existing software (Frameworks, Modularization, Testing, Security) (Desirable)
