Job Summary
This role involves the crucial task of enforcing the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) and related regulations, primarily focusing on the permitting and oversight of wind energy generation facilities. The successful candidate will manage complex approval processes, including those with public participation, and develop orders, prohibitions, and decommissioning plans. Responsibilities also extend to handling administrative offenses, objections, and information requests under environmental laws, alongside contributing to departmental reporting and participating in environmental administration working groups. This position offers a stable career within the public sector of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, requiring a strong technical or scientific background, legal understanding, and a proactive, resilient, and cooperative work ethic.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor, FH-Diplom or equivalent) in a technical-engineering field (e.g., Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering); alternatively, a completed technical education qualifying for the higher technical civil service, OR a completed university degree (Bachelor, FH-Diplom or equivalent) in a natural science field or administration, preferably public administration.
Experience
- Professional experience in enforcing environmental laws, particularly the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG)
- Experience in permitting and monitoring industrial plants, especially in wind energy
- Experience in processing administrative offenses and objections

- Ability to work independently and structured; Willingness to acquire further knowledge in administrative law and necessary IT programs (e.g., LIS-A, ELIA, Geo-Portal); Unrestricted suitability for field service; Driver's license Class B.
