Job Summary

This role involves managing and developing critical ICT processes within Berlin's criminal justice authorities, focusing specifically on the MESTA (Multi-State Prosecution Automation) and eIP (Electronic Integration Portal) systems, which handle electronic case files. The consultant will be responsible for the technical setup, configuration, and operation of these core judicial applications, including database maintenance and interface development using Business Intelligence tools. Key tasks include proactive interface maintenance, change management for MESTA and eIP, and active participation in relevant project teams and consortia. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in ICT or a comparable field, possesses strong technical knowledge in process management, and must be willing to undergo an extensive security clearance (SÜ 2). This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to effective crime fighting in Berlin within a 40-person IT team, supporting approximately 1,300 employees.

Required Skills

Education

Completed relevant university degree in Information and Communication Technology (Bachelor) or a comparable field, or equivalent skills and experience (TV-L standards).

Experience

  • Professional experience performing comparable activities in ICT process management
  • Experience with technical and organizational measures related to application maintenance and development
