Job Summary

This role seeks an Expert Inspector for Partial Acceptance Testing of Rail Signaling and Safety Technology (LST) to join DB InfraGO AG in Nuremberg. The primary responsibilities involve independently executing acceptance tests on LST systems during maintenance and providing technical guidance and supervision to assistant inspectors, ensuring high standards of safety and performance. You will also contribute strategically by developing concepts for the modernization and future expansion of the rail network, acting as the key technical expert for LST maintenance in construction projects and regional initiatives. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, Automation Technology, or Mechatronics, coupled with multi-year professional experience in LST planning or acceptance. This position offers the opportunity to be a critical safety expert in the German rail infrastructure, requiring flexibility for occasional off-hours work, and includes the benefit of a functional company car.

Required Skills

Education

University/Technical College degree (ideally Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, Automation Technology, or Mechatronics) or an equivalent relevant Master Craftsman/Technician qualification.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in planning and/or acceptance within Signaling and Safety Technology (LST)
  • Experience in providing technical guidance and instruction to inspection assistants
  • Professional experience in independently performing acceptance testing of technical systems
