Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineering professional to join DB Projekt Stuttgart-Ulm GmbH, a key player in modernizing Germany's rail network through projects like Stuttgart 21 and the Digital Node Stuttgart. You will function as a Project Engineer, managing complex traffic infrastructure projects with a focus on railway track systems (tracks, switches) and cable installation. Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring interdisciplinary coordination, optimizing operational execution across all project phases, and independently reviewing plans for cost-effective construction. A critical part of the job involves managing contract claims, coordinating stakeholders (supervisors, planners, experts), and developing risk mitigation scenarios. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil, Traffic, or Industrial Engineering and possesses several years of experience in superstructure construction, particularly fixed track systems, combined with strong knowledge of German contract law (VOB, HOAI).
