Job Summary

Join a leading German bank as an IT Security and Resilience Engineer, specializing in Vulnerability Management. This critical role involves taking responsibility for technical and procedural IT security measures, with a primary focus on building, operating, and enhancing pragmatic security mechanisms tailored to the bank's risk profile and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include defining policies, processes, and work instructions for vulnerability management, supporting IT transformation projects, and actively shaping the bank's IT security strategies and minimum standards. You will also serve as a key interface during audits and regulatory reviews, manage external service providers, and mentor team members. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or IT Security, over five years of relevant experience in regulated environments, and strong communication skills to present complex security topics to management.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or comparable qualification/advanced training. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are required.

Experience

  • More than five years in vulnerability management in regulated environments (Banking, Insurance, KRITIS)
  • Professional experience in leading group-wide security initiatives or transformation projects
