Job Summary

This role seeks an expert Professor of Computer Science to join IU International University, starting in the winter term 2026/27, on a part-time, two-year limited contract based in Cologne. The professor will be instrumental in shaping the Bachelor's degree program, focusing on practice-oriented teaching and research. Key responsibilities include developing and leading face-to-face lectures, supervising student theses and exams, and imparting fundamental knowledge in critical areas such as Data Science, Big Data Technologies, Python Programming, and Software Engineering. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and brings substantial professional experience (at least five years, including three outside academia), along with strong didactic skills.
