Job Summary
The Head of Commercial, EU & International, based near Basel, Switzerland, is the senior commercial leader responsible for defining, executing, and driving performance across all European and international markets for Idorsia's innovative portfolio, including QUVIVIQ and JERAYGO. This strategic role involves close partnership with the President EU&I and co-leading global lifecycle management efforts, particularly alongside the US commercial organization. Key responsibilities include overseeing regional business operations, driving data-driven decision-making, managing substantial commercial budgets, and leading external partnerships and alliances. The successful candidate must possess deep commercial leadership experience (12+ years) in the pharmaceutical industry, strong strategic thinking, and a proven ability to manage complexity and foster a high-performance culture across diverse markets.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field. MBA or advanced degree highly desirable.
Experience
- 12+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in brand leadership, commercial strategy, and cross-regional execution.
- Experience in leading lifecycle management and working with US/global teams is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, cross-functional initiatives, and external partnerships.
- Candidates with General Manager (GM) or Business Unit Director (BUD) experience will be favorably considered.
