Job Summary
Join the Technology and Operations team at Global Tech I, a major offshore wind farm operator, as an Electrical Specialist focusing on Wind Turbine Systems. This crucial role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operation of 400MW offshore wind turbines. Day-to-day tasks include providing expert electrical consultation, collaborating closely with service providers on technical assessments, and advising internal Project Managers. A core function is the analysis of fault, condition, and SCADA data to derive optimization measures for performance and availability. You will also develop technical guidelines for maintenance, ensure adherence to legal standards, and support certification processes. The position requires occasional offshore deployments (2-3 times per year, up to 15 days each) for quality inspections. This is an attractive opportunity for an experienced electrical professional with expertise in low/medium voltage and automation seeking to contribute directly to the energy transition and potentially grow into the Responsible Electrical Engineer (VEFK) role.
Required Skills
Education
Completed University Degree or Vocational Training in Electrical Engineering (Technician or Master Craftsman qualification preferred)
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering of wind turbine systems
- Professional experience ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations
- Experience as Responsible Electrical Engineer (VEFK) is desirable
