Job Summary

This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated Research Associate or PhD student to contribute to cutting-edge research in advanced nanomaterials, specifically planar carbon lattices (PCLs). The successful candidate will join the interdisciplinary Research Training Group 2861, a collaborative effort between TUD Dresden University of Technology and Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, funded by the DFG. The role focuses on the atomic-precision synthesis and exploration of new PCLs for next-generation quantum materials and devices, bridging synthetic chemistry, condensed-matter physics, and materials science. Key responsibilities include conducting independent research on microstructured PCL-based electroadsorption devices, with a strong emphasis on advanced synthesis of organic and inorganic materials. The position offers a structured supervision concept, dual-site research opportunities, and a comprehensive qualification program, making it ideal for those seeking to obtain a PhD and advance their academic qualifications in a dynamic, international environment.
