Job Summary

This role involves leading and managing the Landfill Northeast operations for EDG Entsorgung Dortmund GmbH, a municipal waste management company. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the technical, organizational, and personnel leadership of the site, ensuring all operations are safe, legal, and efficient. Key duties include strategic planning of construction, filling, and traffic phases, coordinating resource deployment (personnel, equipment), and ensuring strict compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements, such as the Landfill Ordinance (DepV) and Circular Economy Act (KrWG). The ideal candidate must possess a Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering/Geotechnics, coupled with extensive experience in managing technical facilities or landfills. Strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication with authorities and partners are essential to optimize processes, uphold environmental standards, and represent the company professionally.
