Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive development, testing, and verification of complex laser systems and laser sources for multifunctional applications. The System Engineer will be responsible for coordinating construction, testing, and verification processes within the laboratory setting and acting as the primary technical contact for internal teams (mechanics, optics, electronics, software) and external development partners. A critical component of the role is technology scouting and evaluation based on product-relevant applications, alongside analyzing and optimizing requirements and verification processes for laser sensors. Candidates should possess a strong background in physics, electrical engineering, or mechatronics, coupled with professional experience in developing laser systems and specific knowledge of solid-state, fiber, and diode laser technology, as well as non-linear optics. Fluency in German and excellent command of English are mandatory for effective collaboration in this global environment.
