Job Summary

This role involves operating central IT components, encompassing both physical and virtual systems, primarily utilizing MS-WINDOWS and VMware server technologies. The System Administrator will be responsible for providing First- and Second-Level support, conducting independent fault diagnosis using a User Helpdesk system, and managing the integration of various components including servers, standard software, storage, backup systems, and network components. A key focus is ensuring IT system compliance with data security and protection requirements (BSI and IT-Grundschutz standards), which includes maintaining necessary operational documentation. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant professional training combined with extensive professional experience, and familiarity with complex IT systems, including Microsoft server environments, virtualization (VMware/Linux), and network/firewall technologies.
