Job Summary
The Commissioning Engineer acts as a key ambassador for the company, responsible for the internal and external commissioning of complex high-performance packaging machines and systems for the food and pharmaceutical industries globally. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates looking to launch their careers and gain significant international experience, offering strong development opportunities within the Syntegon Group. Day-to-day tasks involve setting up, testing, fine-tuning hardware and software, and performing acceptance runs of complex machinery. A crucial part of the job is rapid troubleshooting during service deployments, requiring collaboration with technical departments. Furthermore, the engineer will optimize and further develop existing machines and provide instruction and training to customer personnel in both German and English. This challenging role requires approximately 40% worldwide travel, with assignments typically lasting between 3 and 8 weeks.
Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences Degree (FH) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- Completed technical vocational training and a university of applied sciences degree (FH) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Practical experience and user knowledge of PLC applications
- Professional experience in the fields of automation and/or electrical engineering
- Proven ability to handle stress and travel frequently, demonstrating improvisation skills
