Job Summary
This role involves the setup, operation, maintenance, and modernization of Data Remote Transmission (DFÜ) technology, as well as electrical and communication systems within crucial environmental monitoring networks (surface water, groundwater, and meteorology) in the Eastern Saxony region. The technician will be responsible for independently procuring, installing, and repairing measurement, DFÜ, and electrical equipment, performing fault analysis, support, and configuration of measuring devices. A key focus is contributing to the adaptation of DFÜ structures to internet-based transmission paths and coordinating with external contractors. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field, preferably with experience in water management. This is a part-time position (20 hours/week) based in Radebeul or Görlitz, offering an engaging and responsible role within a state-run environmental agency.
Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Communications Engineering, Environmental Technology, Energy Electronics, Industrial Electronics, or Mechatronics, or a comparable suitable technical qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in setting up, operating, and maintaining measurement and transmission technology
- Experience in coordinating external contractors
- Experience in fieldwork and suitability for working on and in bodies of water (Advantageous)
