Job Summary

This role involves taking central responsibility for the virtualization and server infrastructure supporting the municipal school IT systems, ensuring high availability, security, and future viability for thousands of users. Key responsibilities include operating and advancing virtualization platforms (Proxmox VE, Microsoft Hyper-V), administering and optimizing Linux servers (Debian, UCS, IServ), and managing the entire storage and backup infrastructure. The administrator will also focus heavily on IT security implementation according to BSI standards, performance optimization, and creating technical documentation. The ideal candidate must possess a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration and strong communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users, contributing to the digital future of the schools.
