Job Summary

This role involves working as an Environmental Sampling Technician primarily focused on railway infrastructure projects for Deutsche Bahn across Germany. The core responsibilities include the independent execution of environmental measurements and sampling, specifically collecting samples of mineral waste such as ballast, soil, construction debris, or asphalt from railway facilities. Operating in a two-person team, the technician will travel nationwide using a company vehicle, coordinating closely with site supervisors, safety personnel, and environmental service departments to ensure samples are safely and correctly collected, often outside standard working hours (including shifts, nights, and weekends). Key requirements include a Class B driver's license, physical fitness, resilience, basic IT skills for documentation, and fluent German for effective communication and protocol preparation. This is a full-time, permanent position offering structured working hours and compensation based on the BAP collective agreement plus allowances.
