Job Summary

This role is based at the Medical Laboratory Rostock, a key accredited diagnostic laboratory serving the region, offering a stable and future-oriented career path. The successful candidate, who must hold a completed specialist qualification or be an advanced resident in Microbiology, Virology, and Infection Epidemiology, will be responsible for creating microbiological and infection serological findings. A primary daily duty involves providing expert consultation on antibiotic therapy and ensuring appropriate test ordering. You will also lead the routine microbiological diagnostics, guide and train laboratory personnel, and contribute to the future development of testing methods. Strong professional competence, a structured working style, and risk assessment skills are essential. While experience in Antibiotic Stewardship is beneficial, the willingness to pursue further training in this area is fully supported.
