Job Summary

This role seeks a qualified Civil Engineer or Transportation Planner to join the Civil Engineering Department in Pfaffenhofen a. d. Ilm on a full-time, temporary basis (maternity/parental leave cover). The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent creation of design and execution plans for road construction projects, either internally or in collaboration with external engineering firms. Key day-to-day tasks include project management for various civil engineering measures (roads, bridges, retaining walls) across all service phases, developing concepts for road space design, and contributing to the local mobility concept. You will also handle the preparation and processing of engineering contracts, assist with tender documents, and oversee maintenance measures, including local construction supervision and acceptance. This position requires strong knowledge of construction technology, VOB, and HOAI, coupled with proficiency in CAD and AVA software, and excellent social competence for engaging with citizens and political committees.
