Job Summary

The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), one of Europe's largest cancer research institutions, is seeking a highly motivated Technical Assistant to join the 'Histone Methyltransferase KMT9' research group at the DKTK Partner Site in Freiburg. This role involves performing and analyzing complex experiments focused on the epigenetic control of transcriptional regulation, particularly concerning human diseases and stem cell maintenance. Day-to-day tasks include advanced molecular biology techniques (DNA cloning, qPCR), protein biochemistry (Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation), and sample preparation for mass spectrometry and Next-Generation Sequencing. The ideal candidate holds a professional qualification (MTA/BTA/CTA) and possesses experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and human cell cultures.
