Job Summary

This role supports the industrial-scale manufacturing of biotechnical therapeutic proteins and antibodies for a renowned pharmaceutical research company in Biberach, strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions. Day-to-day tasks involve operating and maintaining crucial fermentation and harvesting systems, executing various filtration processes, and preparing necessary buffer solutions at a production scale. You will also be responsible for the thorough cleaning and sterilization of process equipment. A key component of the job is meticulous batch documentation, primarily managed through electronic manufacturing software (BioMES) and supplementary paper documentation, ensuring strict compliance with GMP guidelines. The ideal candidate must possess a completed professional qualification in biotechnology, chemistry, or a related technical field, along with strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and the willingness to work a rotating 2-shift schedule, including weekend work.

Required Skills

Education

Completed professional qualification (e.g., Bio Specialist Worker, Production Specialist for Biotechnology/Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technician, Chemical Technician) or a scientific education with experience, or a comparable qualification (e.g., Brewer, Malter, Baker, Specialist for Fruit Juice Technology, Mechatronics)

Experience

  • Professional experience in large-scale technical production (Biotech/Pharma/Chemistry)
  • Experience working under GMP conditions (ideally)
  • Several years of professional experience required if background is in Mechatronics, Brewing, Baking, or similar non-traditional fields
