Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Network Engineer/Administrator to join a strong team supporting a client in the energy technology sector in Düren. The core responsibilities involve the planning, configuration, and optimization of modern Cisco network infrastructures, including switches and routers, alongside performing necessary software and firmware updates. A critical aspect of the role is network security, requiring the analysis of security-relevant messages (PSIRTs), risk assessment, and implementing appropriate protective measures. Candidates must possess an IT-related degree or equivalent qualification and several years of professional experience, ideally holding a Cisco CCNP certification. Expertise in IP networking, including routing protocols like IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS, is mandatory, along with extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst, ISR, and ASR devices running Cisco IOS.
