Job Summary
The Hochschule Worms is seeking a highly qualified W2 Professor to lead teaching and research in Information Management within the Computer Science department. This role involves conveying practical competencies to students regarding data handling, information processes, and digital technologies, enabling them to guide companies through digital transformation and develop IT strategies. The successful candidate will leverage their outstanding practical and theoretical knowledge in Information Management, potentially drawing on experience from the tourism/transportation sectors due to cross-departmental collaboration. The position requires taking on courses in both Bachelor's and Master's programs across Computer Science and Tourism/Transportation, taught in both German and English, alongside contributing actively to research, knowledge transfer, and academic self-governance.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science or related field (Hochschule/University level), Qualifications meeting § 49 of the Higher Education Act (HochSchG) of Rhineland-Pfalz
Experience
- Outstanding practical and theoretical knowledge in Information Management
- Extensive practical experience in systematic planning, steering, and control of organizational information handling
- Industry experience in Tourism/Transportation sectors (advantageous)
- Experience in research, technology, and knowledge transfer
