Job Summary

The GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, involved in the massive international FAIR project, is seeking an ASIC Developer to join the Experimental Electronics Department. This role focuses on the design, testing, and characterization of highly complex mixed-signal ASICs used for detector readout systems in particle physics experiments. Key responsibilities include contributing to concept development for ASIC-based readout architectures, independently designing digital and mixed-signal blocks using VHDL, and performing lab testing and characterization of prototypes. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics and possesses strong knowledge of digital electronics, VHDL, and mixed-signal simulation techniques.
