Job Summary

This role involves acting as a System Engineer focused on software product development, primarily centered around sensor technology. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing technical requirements to define system and software specifications, serving as the key contact for communication interfaces, particularly IO-Link, and actively participating in their standardization. A crucial part of the job is the continuous improvement of development processes and methods, system definition, and documentation using ALM systems like Polarion. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Technical Management, and the Software Development team. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field, possess professional experience in requirements management, and are familiar with structured working methods like the V-Model and quality standards such as ISO 13849. Excellent German (B2 minimum) and good English skills are required for success in this collaborative environment.
