Job Summary

This is a part-time (50%) project role focused on developing and implementing digital infrastructure solutions for the 'Career Readiness through Microcredentials' (MC4LSA) project, a joint initiative across six German universities. The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling core digital processes, developing concepts for digital badges and proofs of achievement, and establishing common data structure standards to ensure computer readability and verifiability of Microcredentials across various systems. Key tasks include developing and integrating interfaces with the Campus Management System (CMS) and establishing a platform-based infrastructure for managing Microcredentials. Essential qualifications include a scientific university degree (Master's or equivalent) in IT-related fields, proven expertise in database-backed web programming (preferably Python and PHP), and deep knowledge of cryptographic procedures, PKI, and web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON). This role requires strong communication skills and a willingness to travel for project-related duties.

Required Skills

Education

Scientific University Degree (Diplom, Master, or equivalent) in Business Informatics, Media Informatics, Application Development, or a comparable IT-related field

Experience

  • Proven expertise in database-backed web programming (preferably Python and PHP)
  • Practical application of cryptographic and mathematical procedures
  • Practical application of tools for certificate generation and signature verification
  • Experience with Linux in a productive, server-oriented environment
  • Deep knowledge and application of Web Development, Web Services, and underlying technologies
  • Experience with standards for digital proofs and data exchange (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Campus Management Systems (desirable)
