Job Summary

The Medical Service of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is seeking a dedicated IT Security Officer in Schwerin to significantly shape and advance their internal IT security posture amidst increasing digitalization and complex threat landscapes. This crucial role involves working within the IT Services department, reporting directly to the department head and the board, and providing binding recommendations for improving IT and information security. Day-to-day responsibilities include building a structured Information Security Management System (ISMS), planning and executing risk analyses and audits, managing IT security incidents, and developing security policies. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics with a focus on information/IT security, possesses deep knowledge of standards like ISO/IEC 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz, and has experience running security awareness programs. This position offers a secure, full-time role in the healthcare sector with flexible working hours and the potential to expand into an Information Security Officer role, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information.
