Job Summary

This role involves strengthening the Group Controlling team for a modern municipal corporate group, acting as the holding company for several municipal enterprises in Gotha, covering areas from energy supply to leisure and culture. The Financial Controller will be instrumental in preparing and analyzing key business indicators, focusing heavily on the energy sector to guide the group's performance. Daily activities include consolidating, reviewing, and evaluating the business plans of subsidiary companies, assisting in the preparation of consolidated financial statements according to HGB (German Commercial Code), and creating monthly financial statements. A core part of the job is actively shaping and advancing controlling and accounting processes, including the economic assessment of diverse business areas and supporting investment projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a background in controlling or accounting, ideally within the energy industry, offering a stable and varied role with flexible hours and opportunities for professional development.
