Job Summary

This role involves working as a Customer Support Engineer specializing in Firewall Administration for Airbus Secure Land Communications, focusing on professional mobile radio solutions and tactical communication systems. The core responsibilities include the setup, installation, and maintenance of firewall and network infrastructure solutions, ensuring a stable and high-performing network. You will be instrumental in incident management, analyzing and resolving complex network issues, and managing change, release, and configuration processes. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, deep knowledge of network and firewall administration, expertise in TCP/IP, IP-Sec, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and practical experience with network troubleshooting tools like Wireshark or tcpdump. This position offers the opportunity to work on critical national security communication networks and requires fluency in both German and English.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification, or completed vocational training as an IT Systems Electronics Technician

Experience

  • Long-term experience if holding a vocational qualification as an IT Systems Electronics Technician
  • Professional experience in digital switching technology (ideally DXT systems)
  • Professional experience in network and firewall infrastructure planning and administration
