Job Summary

This role is a full-time, permanent position based in Munich within the aerospace industry, focusing on the design and implementation of RF/Analog SiGe-BiCMOS circuit modules. The engineer will be responsible for the entire layout process, including design planning, block layout, and comprehensive verification flow (DRC, LVS) using specialized Cadence tools (Virtuoso XL, Assura/PVS). Key daily tasks involve close collaboration with RF-IC Design and RF System teams for floorplanning, and utilizing scripting languages like Skill and Python to automate tasks. A successful candidate must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, coupled with several years of experience in RF/Analog layout, deep knowledge of SiGe-BiCMOS processes, and expertise in advanced layout techniques such as parasitic reduction and optimal RF cabling. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to critical aerospace tape-out procedures.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Several years of experience in RF/Analog layout with extensive knowledge of SiGe-BiCMOS processes
  • Professional expertise in layout techniques for device matching, parasitic reduction, RF shielding, and optimal RF cabling
  • Extensive understanding of the complete design flow from schematic to GDSII, including verification (DRC, LVS) and Process Design Kits
