Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the operational readiness, maintenance, and repair of essential building systems within the Max Planck Institute for Physics and its residential complex in Garching/Munich. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing lighting, cooling, climate control, and communication systems, executing DGUV3 inspections, and performing installation and wiring of distribution, switching, control, and regulation equipment. A key component of the job is monitoring and controlling the building infrastructure using Building Management Systems (BMS). This position requires a completed vocational training in energy and building technology and offers an attractive, permanent, full-time contract within an internationally renowned research environment, supported by comprehensive onboarding and professional development opportunities. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, a team player, and possesses a Class B driving license.

Completed vocational training as an Electrician for Energy and Building Technology or equivalent recognized profession
Experience
- Professional experience in energy and building technology (entry-level candidates with relevant internships are welcome)
- Knowledge in other trades is desirable
