Job Summary
This role is for an experienced PLC Programmer responsible for the full lifecycle management of complex process engineering systems. Core duties include developing and programming PLC systems and their interfaces, conducting electrical and process-related commissioning at customer sites, and performing detailed troubleshooting and fault analysis on existing installations. You will independently plan and execute system installations, conduct functional and safety checks on control systems and cabinets, and perform Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT). The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in Electrical or Process Engineering, coupled with deep expertise in specific PLC platforms, including Siemens (S7/TIA-Portal), Allen Bradley (Rockwell Studio 5000), and Schneider (Codesys). The position requires strong German and English skills, along with a willingness to travel approximately 30% nationally and internationally.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Electrical or Process Engineering (ideally with further qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman), or a degree in Engineering with a similar focus.
