Job Summary

The Mannheim University of Applied Sciences is seeking two dedicated Chemical Laboratory Technicians to join the Faculty of Biotechnology, Institute for Analytical Chemistry. This is a temporary, part-time position (50%, 19.75 hours/week) until mid-2026, focused on supporting academic operations. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the preparation and co-supervision of practical experiments for both beginner and advanced analytical technology courses, including quantitative analysis techniques such as preparing solutions, pipetting, and titration. A core function is the routine operation, control, and maintenance of specialized laboratory and measuring equipment, including necessary testing and calibration. Candidates are also responsible for monitoring and managing the inventory of chemicals and consumables. The ideal applicant must hold a completed qualification as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Chemical Technician, possess practical laboratory experience in Analytical Chemistry, and demonstrate strong teamwork, flexibility, social competence when interacting with students, and excellent proficiency in German.
