Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in high and medium voltage grid protection. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and implementing grid protection parameters following network changes, ensuring the network remains stable and future-proof. You will be heavily involved in developing modern protection concepts, conducting detailed network analyses, and evaluating system performance after network disturbances. A crucial part of the role is knowledge transfer, requiring you to develop and organize training concepts for grid protection expertise within the team. Furthermore, you will contribute to technical documentation for high and medium voltage tenders, standardize technical processes, and support the planning and execution phases for substations and switching stations. Success requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, extensive experience in high-voltage grid operations or planning, and proficiency in relevant technical regulations and project accounting processes.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., Master, or Bachelor) or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in grid planning, grid construction, or grid operation, especially in the high-voltage sector
  • Experience in applying relevant regulations, laws, and technical provisions
  • Experience in assessing and designing operating equipment in high-voltage networks
  • Familiarity with project accounting procedures and routine use of relevant DV systems
