Job Summary

Join the German Aerospace Center (DLR) Institute for Electrified Aircraft Drives as an IT Specialist and IT Security Officer, contributing to future low-emission aviation technology. This role involves planning, managing, and steering the institute's IT services, including integrating scientific systems and test rig infrastructure into DLR networks. Day-to-day duties include administering Linux (Ubuntu/Red Hat) and Windows client/server systems, and utilizing scripting languages like Bash, Powershell, and Python for process automation, backups, and snapshot creation. A critical component of the role is organizing and implementing IT security measures, developing documentation compliant with DLR standards, and regularly training staff on IT security best practices. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field and possesses proven experience in network and system administration, offering a unique opportunity to apply technical expertise within a cutting-edge research environment.

Required Skills

Education
