Job Summary

This permanent, full-time role seeks an IT Systems Administrator/System Integration Specialist to support a major research institution with over 6,000 employees in the Düren district (Jülich area). The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of IT systems and networks, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance. A crucial part of the role involves providing 1st Level Support, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and assisting end-users with their IT inquiries. You will also actively participate in IT projects focused on system optimization and ensure thorough documentation of the IT infrastructure and processes. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or an equivalent qualification, coupled with a broad understanding of networking, operating systems, and hardware configuration. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills in both German and English are essential for successful collaboration with users and teams.
