Job Summary
The BGV, a leading insurer in Baden, is seeking an AI Architect to join their new AI Development Team in Karlsruhe. This role is central to defining and advancing the company-wide AI architecture, standards, methods, and processes for all AI initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing scalable, secure, and future-proof system architectures for complex AI applications, such as LLM integration, RAG, agent systems, and process automation. The architect will act as a crucial technical interface between Data Engineering, Development, IT Management, business units, and external partners. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a related field, deep knowledge of modern software and data architecture, and practical experience with AI frameworks and Cloud technologies, specifically Azure and Python. The position offers a hybrid work model and the chance to drive innovation and digitalization within a stable, tradition-rich company.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Long-term experience in IT and system architecture, ideally in AI or data platform environments (alternative to degree)
- Practical experience in selecting, implementing, and orchestrating AI frameworks and Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure)
- Experience in the conception and implementation of complex IT/data architectures and standardized interfaces for AI/ML applications
