Job Summary

This role involves the organization, coordination, and independent execution of laboratory work, focusing heavily on analytical chemistry within a research institute setting. The technician will perform various analytical methods, including spectrometry, chromatography, and molecular biology techniques, primarily on feed, food, and biological samples. Key responsibilities include maintaining chemical stocks, managing equipment (ordering and maintenance), ensuring proper disposal, and handling safety compliance. A significant part of the job involves instructing students, Master's candidates, and doctoral researchers on methods and equipment use, as well as actively participating in research projects, which may include animal testing and fieldwork outside the main location. The ideal candidate possesses a completed chemical technical education, strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in both German and English.

Required Skills

Education

Completed education from a Chemical Technical School or Chemical HTL (Higher Federal Teaching and Research Institute for Chemical Industry), or an equivalent or higher qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis
  • Experience in handling and preparing biological material
  • Experience in instructing students and researchers on laboratory methods
