This role involves establishing and advancing the financial controlling instruments and methodologies for the Wittenberg District Administration, focusing on strategic and transparent performance and cost management. Key responsibilities include developing concepts for financial steering, analyzing financial data, and providing support during budget reviews and negotiations. The officer will also manage the central grant funding process, including maintaining the grant register and handling legal questions related to subsidies. Day-to-day tasks involve monitoring budgets, conducting profitability analyses, preparing quarterly reports, and managing user rights in specialized financial software (IKVS, H+H). This position requires strong analytical skills, expertise in municipal finance management (Doppik/Haushaltsrecht), and proficiency in relevant IT systems, offering an interesting and responsible full-time role with good work-life balance in a public sector environment.

Required Skills

Education

University/University of Applied Sciences degree in Administrative or Economic Sciences, or completed Employee Course II certification

Experience

  • Professional experience in Kommunales Finanzmanagement/Doppik/Haushaltsrecht (Municipal Financial Management/Double-Entry Accounting/Budget Law)
  • Professional experience with commercial and tax law regulations
