Job Summary

The City of Coburg seeks an experienced and highly motivated Director of Information and Communication Technology to lead its IT department starting August 1, 2026. This pivotal role involves developing and executing comprehensive IT strategies, planning major projects, and managing the entire municipal IT environment, encompassing infrastructure provision, maintenance, user support, and critical IT security across the city administration, schools, and municipal enterprises. You will be responsible for leading the IT staff, controlling the IT investment budget, and ensuring seamless coordination with various internal and external stakeholders. Candidates must possess significant leadership and personnel management experience, coupled with deep practical knowledge in ICT, ideally within a public administration context. A Master's degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, or a related field, or the requisite civil service qualification (fourth level), is expected. Experience

  • Several years of leadership and personnel management experience
  • Comprehensive practical experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
