Job Summary
This role involves shaping the future energy supply for the city of Herten as an Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Supply. The core responsibilities focus on network planning and calculation for medium and low-voltage grids, including complex calculations for short-circuit current analysis and load flow determination. You will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating grid connection requests according to VDE standards and managing the preparation of grid expansion measures, from initial planning through to tendering and handover. A key component of the job is the parametrization and testing of network protection devices and supporting Smart Grid systems. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, fundamental knowledge of medium and low-voltage systems, and professional experience in planning and operating power supply networks, ideally within a municipal utility context. The position offers an opportunity to work full-time (39 hours/week) in a modern, regional utility company committed to sustainability and continuous development.
