Job Summary

This role involves executing complex physical and chemical tests, focusing heavily on quality control and precise data documentation within a technological environment. Day-to-day tasks include performing physical inspections, specifically optical controls for defects, bubbles, scratches, and inclusions. You will determine the refractive index distribution of preforms using a profiler, and measure fiber attenuation using the cut-back method on IR and UV measuring devices. Additionally, you will conduct geometric inspections using a profile projector and a geometry measuring station. A core responsibility is the structured recording, evaluation, and assessment of measurement data, followed by reporting results via the SAP system. The ideal candidate holds a completed qualification as a Physics or Chemistry Laboratory Technician, possesses strong physical-technical understanding, and is proficient in MS Office and ideally SAP.
