This role supports the Civil Engineering Office in Idar-Oberstein, focusing on the planning, tendering, supervision, and billing of infrastructure projects, including new construction, modification, and expansion of roads, as well as various civil engineering projects. The professional will be responsible for developing planning documents, preparing tender specifications and construction contracts, and overseeing construction execution, including external designs. A key component involves the technical support for the continuation and updating of the city's mobility concept and planning bicycle traffic measures. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering (Traffic Planning/Civil Engineering) or be a certified Civil Engineering Technician with relevant professional experience, coupled with strong expertise in public procurement, contract law, and standards related to road and structural engineering. The position requires high motivation, organizational skills, and suitability for fieldwork.

Successfully completed university degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) / Bachelor) in Traffic Planning / Civil Engineering or comparable fields, OR completed professional training as a State-Certified Technician in Civil Engineering specializing in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning, tendering, construction management, and billing of civil and road construction projects
- Foundational professional experience required if applying as a Certified Civil Engineering Technician
