Job Summary
This role involves leading the administrative office of the highly-regarded, internationally networked Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at Osnabrück University. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the personnel and financial administration of the research center, which includes managing numerous research projects and a major collaborative research center. Day-to-day tasks include taking primary responsibility for organizing and executing events, independently maintaining the IMIS website, and managing the administrative preparation and support for international guests. Key qualifications include a completed administrative training (such as a certified administrative assistant or office management specialist from a public employer), excellent organizational skills, and very good written and spoken English proficiency.
