Job Summary
This role requires an expert to ensure the correct application and continuous improvement of accounting rules based on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) across the entire Swiss Federal Administration. Day-to-day responsibilities involve providing solutions to complex financial reporting questions, developing technical guidelines for financial management across federal offices, and advising the Federal Finance Administration (AFF) leadership. You will contribute actively to the establishment of the state and consolidated accounts of the Confederation and represent the AFF in various interdepartmental working groups. This is a crucial position within a small team, demanding strong analytical and conceptual abilities, excellent knowledge of IPSAS or IFRS, and experience in consolidation matters. The position offers the opportunity to work on varied and demanding topics linked to all areas of the Confederation's activity.
Required Skills
Education
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Expert in Finance and Controlling certification, OR University/Higher Education degree in Business Economics
Experience
- Several years of experience in applying accounting presentation rules
- Very good knowledge of IPSAS or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Solid technical knowledge concerning financial consolidation
