Job Summary

This role involves the comprehensive engineering, commissioning, and support of automated materials handling systems, specifically focusing on pallet/container conveyor systems and stacker cranes. The Automation Project Engineer will be responsible for PLC programming using Siemens S7 Classic and TIA Portal, including establishing interface connections to higher-level systems. Day-to-day tasks include commissioning S7 components, converters, fieldbus systems, scanners, and scales, as well as performing modifications and expansions on existing logistics facilities while they are operational. The position requires close coordination with both internal and external project partners. Ideal candidates possess a degree or technical certification in electrical or control engineering, proven experience with S7 PLC programming (S7-1500, S7-300/400), and knowledge of fieldbus systems like Profinet and Profibus.
