Job Summary

This is a full-time, tenure-track W2 Professorship focused on Applied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Dual University of Saxony (DHSN) in Glauchau, Germany. The successful candidate will lead teaching and cooperative research, specializing in AI methods and Digital Transformation across three key fields: Digital Transformation in SMEs, Construction & Energy, and Automotive, Mobility & Engineering. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing intelligent systems, analyzing large datasets, implementing Machine Learning algorithms in technical applications, and designing digital transformation processes. The role requires engaging with dual practical partners, developing new curricula and modules in AI, and actively participating in student recruitment and academic self-governance. Candidates must demonstrate strong pedagogical skills, significant scientific aptitude (usually proven by a doctorate), and substantial practical experience applying scientific knowledge in relevant industries, preparing students for interdisciplinary applications of AI and digital technologies in areas like Cyber Security and Industry 4.0.
