Job Summary

This senior scientific role involves providing strategic and scientific leadership for toxicological assessments of drug candidates, impurities, and chemicals, with a primary focus on genotoxicity. Key responsibilities include defining the overall in-vitro toxicology strategy aligned with R&D goals, ensuring strict regulatory compliance (GLP, ICH, OECD) through study directorship, and managing documentation for regulatory submissions. The Scientist will drive innovation by developing and validating cutting-edge screening strategies, utilizing modern technologies such as 3D cell cultures, Organ-on-Chip models, and in-silico tools. Furthermore, the role requires inspiring team leadership, managing budgets, fostering cross-functional collaboration with teams like DMPK and Regulatory Affairs, and actively contributing to business growth and external scientific visibility through publications and conference representation.

Required Skills

Education

PhD in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Life Sciences, or a related field

Experience

  • Practical experience in in-vitro and genetic toxicology
  • Experience ideally in a leading function as a Study or Team Leader
  • Experience in industrial or Contract Research Organization (CRO) environment (desirable)
  • Experience with regulatory submissions and audits
  • Experience in personnel management, team development, and resource planning
